Authority of Scripture
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is the basis for our beliefs and practices.
Saved by Grace, not Works
Salvation is the unearned, undeserved gift of God’s grace made possible through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Baptism is the act of obedience that follows the gift of salvation. We practice baptism by immersion.
The Lord’s Supper
The Lord’s Supper is a memorial to the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. We welcome all who confess Jesus as Savior and follow Him as Lord to join us in the Lord’s Supper.
Priesthood of all Believers
All believers are indwelled by the Holy Spirit and called to minister. All believers have the responsibility and privilege to study, meditate upon, and apply Scripture under the leadership of God’s Spirit.
Autonomy of the Local Church
The Christian faith is best lived in the context of a church. Georgetown is an autonomous church that unites in a spirit of love, cooperation, and prayer to govern itself under the leadership if the Holy Spirit.
